I have had cold sores since I was a teenager (I am 38 now) and. Fortunately the break outs are rare but when I do get them it is always following a spell of feeling stressed and rundown. Usually at the same time I will also get those sore little white spots on my tongue and maybe a mouth ulcer for good measure!
